I feel like Luna and Celestia got screwed honestly.  
Despite they were affected by Harmony magic there, they were excluded from the final rainbow laser.  
The fact more and more bearers are there just screws the sisters even more.

I hope so, I don’t think it’s wise of Hasbro to immediately phase out to g5 by abruptly ending g4 instead of slowly transitioning. A lot of people aren’t that ready yet.

We do not know, but the cover has “ending” vibes everywhere, and we know that there has been trouble inside the IDW, where the comic crew for the G4 comics may be in need of replacements. Andyprice, for example, has been going on for many years now, he made the first issue in 2012 almost ten years ago. Several untested artists were brought into the work in 2019-2020 with little success, where Garcia seems to get through the narrow eye of the needle while others more skilled like Pencils are said to have been ignored and treated badly as with the Maud Pie issue case. The comic market had taken a beating of the covid-19 and weakening interest in comics that can be stolen and distributed completely free online.
 
If Hasbro had not canceled the third season of G4.5 “Pony Life” - which is intended to end this series in 2021-2022 well before the G5 series which is said to start in the autumn of 2022 - it would not have been cause for concern. And the S10 stories feel a bit forced by the writer, as if time was running out.

I really don’t know why there isn’t a time of rest between G4 and G5, Because killing everything at least one month before G5 movie release and then wait a year for a series sounds really like they actually don’t have hope in G5. I can understand you if they end everything and then one year later see G5 but no, it’s ending everything and then one or two months later there is G5.
 
Maybe they don’t give rest between gens because G2, 3 and 3.5 aren’t really good but G4 was really huge.

That explains why everything seems so abrupt with the S10 this year, there is an end date in the fall of 2021 when the G5 movie is released. I still like the cover, rainbow colors and many interesting people - so everyone, absolutely EVERYONE, who is affected by harmony magic - the pillars and the Young 6 as well - is thus drawn into the action. It’s not sure if the Knights of Harmony are villains or just a group that thought they were right about the harmony magic, but it looks like there will be a clash here.
 
But what will that mean for the future of the IDW G4 comics after FiM # 102, which could be the finale for S10? After all, many people want the G4 to continue on the comics after the G5 has come out, not least as there is information that the G5 TV series will come out one year after the movie. (I may be wrong) The information that the third and final season of Pony Life has been canceled by Hasbro has raised concerns that Hasbro is becoming self-destructive by betting everything on just G5. And the artist Pencils has announced that there may be G5 comics from IDW.
 
We can only hope; but if Hasbro pulls the plug on the G4 comics long before the G5 TV series is out, with only a single movie in the meantime, they risk that the market for the G5 will be severely weakened if there is too long a wait - and too high pressure of expectations .

I’m going to guess either 102 will be a oversized finale (bringing us to September when the G5 movie is supposed to premiere) or it’ll go to 103, but I’m not sure it’ll be much more than that.
