I can definitely see a mini-series at best. Maybe they’ll address if not decide on the fate on the trio once and for all. Petrification isn’t exactly the fate I liked but the fate they got.

Well, the discussion is pointless since we see the trio’s statue like a bait of a sequel that never will come or if it come, everbody would hate how they will manage Chrysalis.

I just think that comics should seriously stop pretending that they are from the same universe as the series since they are different media (and I know what the promise of season 10 is, but I never believed that they were going to discard 88 issues with a simple banner instead of a renumber)

And at least in my opinion, you could get more juice from the IDW timeline than that of the original series in terms of continuation, since concepts like Cosmos and Eris could at least be given to explore more concepts, even the entire plot of the knights can exist without the presence of season 9.

There are only 3 stories that can be handled with season 9, slice of life in the future, Discord facing Grogar (only one arc) and freeing the trio (also a small arc and you can even combine it with Discord and it would be a simple mini-series)… that’s all.

It sadly can’t be ignored since season 10 was following up on that.
As in the retirement crap, which means the Grogar issue is still there.

Like it hurts if a show had a chance to fix a problem it had done in the past but squandered it.
I am sure any fan feels that of seeing a fav show of their did something really not good and squandered its only chances to make up for that.

Actually is based ignoring ending of the end because it’s the most pointless story of all because it’s just recycled season 4 plus other concepts that already has been seen before or concepts that actually would happen without the intervention of Grogar’s story.

Even season 10 makes more sense of existing than the whole Grogar plot.

Which sure makes it worse by ignoring his biggest screw up of all.
Its like a wound that isn’t treated but ignored. Its only going to get infected and get WORSE the longer its not treated.

S10 (except for the Scootaloo and CheesePie issues) has been pretty bad for me, but I wouldn’t have minded if this was a moment in a single/double issue not connected to the whole Tree of Harmony in other lands arc.

It is really debatable that last thing about what Tempest and Discord was referring because of the Cosmos retcon where practically Cosmos was the villain and Discord wasn’t.
 
And why wouldn’t she tell about the changelings? Because in this arc he has his powers blocked and they count it as “losing”, so blocking and removing powers are used with the same context instead of separated context.

“Didn’t u just” and “recently” are the same. Discord saying its a misunderstanding makes it known to me there talking about grogar as Thats when his goal was to help his friends.  
If tempest was talking about s2 that wouldn’t be a misunderstanding hed be like well i use to be a villain in my heyday until i meet Fluttershy.
 
But yur interpretation of the writers writing it that way, for the viewers to decide for themselves i can see how u can come to that logic but it falls apart when u realize they don’t say he lost his magic at the changeling hive, they aren’t saying these things word for word but that is what there telling us.

Yeah, and i don’t think is really bad using ending of the end for any other story, i just think ending of the end is a really dry story that if you want to expand it, everbody would hate that until you can write like an Cobra Kai’s writer which made 2 awful movies into a good contribution to Karate Kid’s universe.
 
There are just 2 options, return of the villains (something that don’t need Ending of the end if you ignore it, IDW looks like an universe where Cozy don’t exist and you can have a Chrysalis, Tirek and Sombra story without any troubles) and Discord’s regret (another thing that don’t need ending of the end because there’s Twilight Kingdom).

she never said “recently” just “didn’t you just try to take over the kingdom?” something that for the Cosmos pics, would make reference to S2, because Tempest didn’t know about Discord’s status like an ally until now.
 
But here’s the thing … really looks like Whitley really don’t want to mention it in a explicit way meanwhile with Tirek and his other affairs it was always explicit.

For that, I really think Whitley hates or at least dislikes ending of the end and that scene works with or without reference to said ending can prove that it is the ending that does not add anything to the entire series, like Sins of the past for Spider-man.
 
So I think he wrote it that way instead of explicitly saying about Grogar because of his possible feelings for that ending.
 
He can make many mistakes, but he’s based at that scenario.

Sadly given how they sort of tried to ignore the Grogar twist, what Discord feels here ends up feeling like its referring to his other past screw-ups and not the BIGGEST one of all(the Grogar plan).  
Its like a major wound that is ignored and thinking it will go away if its ignored even though it will make the wound even worse. Which is a pretty bad problem.

Yea I love the small but effective characterization on discord him noting he did good even tho he knew it would turn out bad for him and him acknowledging his failures wholeheartedly in the previous page before this, with fluttershy noting he can be sweet at times and adoring him for it knowing that he does wish to be better.😄
