Plot:
 
While attempting to stop Queen Chrysalis from stealing a mysterious giant crystal from the Canterlot vaults, Twilight and her friends accidentally send it through a portal into another world with Chrysalis and her Changelings chasing it. It is soon revealed to be a something called a “Summoner Crystal” which contains a nucleus that, if exposed to an animal or sentient being, takes on its likeness, becomes active and summon beasts that can be used as living weapons. The Mane 6, after being given human forms, chase after the Crystal to Earth in hopes they can find it first before Chrysalis can only to discover, not only has the Crystal’s nucleus become active, but the world it has ended up in is full of giant monsters. Meanwhile, the crystal has taken on a form of a human girl named Ariel but also believes she is human as well. Even worse, Chrysalis has gained some devastating allies in this world.
