The difference between a servant and a slave is that a servant can quit his service, while a slave, in the original meaning, can’t. Willingness or enjoyment has nothing to do with it - a servant can be miserable, but avoid quitting because it’s his only prospect at employment and the alternative it to starve in the streets, for example; conversely, even historically, there were slaves who were treated well and were generally very happy - especially e.g. well-liked slaves to rich people, who had a much better life than some free but poor peasant labouring all day to just barely survive.
 
Now in BDSM of course the “slave” can technically always quit as well, at least in consensual BDSM. So it’s really more like role-playing being a slave. That said, in fantasy/drawings, it’s also possible to depict actual slavery, where the sub goes into it with no safeword and no “out” and everything works out perfectly fine because it’s a drawing (whereas in real life that’d be an easy path towards rape charges).

Still looks like a servant to me. As long as she’s willingly doing it, it doesn’t give me the impression she’s a slave but rather a different type of servant. But my opinions might change so who knows.

That’s a very narrow way of looking at it though. Having certain abilities and freedoms/liberties be taken from you, to be under the control of someone else and be told what to do is also the same as being a slave. Not wanting those freedoms/abilities/liberties back because you’re enjoying it means you’re willing.

BDSM is all about trust. You can play the part of a slave and actually want to be one too. Of course most examples here on derpi are shitposts or misusing the term.
