20 years old today, and now 20 years worth of cartoon love.
I’d like to thank you all again who have been wishing me a happy birthday since December 5, it warms my heart to see a comment that reminds me of the exciting day.
Not only my 20th birthday, but also my FOURTH anniversary here on DA. I still remember when I was 16 and signed up on this site on the night of my birthday; I had been a little reluctant back then when it came to drawing.
Today, well, like cartoons, drawing is an important part of my life.
20 years’ television has given me a wide variety of shows, some good, some bad. Some REALLY good, some ABSOLUTELY awful.
But there have mostly been good shows, even striving in the 21st century, especially 2012, we’re provided with incredible shows that we’ve fallen in love with instantly.
Unfortunately, I could only fit 6 characters from different shows onto this picture to celebrate my 20th birthday, mainly the shows I’ve been regarding during my year of being 19 years of age. But you guys already know that they are only 6 of MANY characters from shows that I love with all my heart:
Gumball from The Amazing World of Gumball
Yeah, I know, I haven’t drawn any AWOG art since 2011, and, sadly, it was only ONE. Even though I haven’t made much art for it, the show truly is memorable as well as a reminder about how powerful imagination is. I mean, COME ON, there’s a T-Rex and a dancing banana in that series! Other than that, I’ve watched a good number of AWOG episodes this year before turning 20, and I have to say that Gumball and his crazy friends and family always prove to me that the normal can be amazing.
Ogo from Robot and Monster
Most of you guys ALREADY know how much I LOVE RnM, ever since I first saw it back in August when it began airing. I know, I kept referring to it as ‘THE BEST SHOW EVER’, I was very zealous when I began watching it, and I just wanted everyone to know what a great show it is. It still is my absolute favorite show, and it is one that I am proud to have discovered when I was still 19.
Twilight Sparkle from MLP FIM
I really like the show, and Season 1 will always be my favorite in the series. Twilight reminds me of myself in some ways, especially since I had an awkward time when I first started making friends when I just wanted to be alone with my books and hobbies. She’s a beautiful, smart unicorn and I’m glad such a character like her was created. And I’m happy to have discovered MLP FIM, it’s just great.
Mordecai from Regular Show
Okay, well, knowing RS for a good couple of years, and during my year of being 19 brought wonders and surprises from the whole gang. The show itself just proves that even the most regular of situations could result in an adventure of a lifetime, and Mordecai and Rigby get that EVERY day.
Mr. Bump from The Mr. Men Show
If you seen my previous pictures, you’d recall my Mr. Men crossover comics. It had been a while since I had seen it on TV, let alone, on what used to be Cartoon Network, but thank goodness for other sources! The show itself is so colorful, and it proves that even the simplest things can be the highlight of the day, just as displayed in every episode. I adore Mr. Bump, and his cheerful personality despite getting hurt in nearly episode is what makes me love the show altogether, and it had been during the summer when I was on a full splurge watching Mr. Men episodes.
And finally, Zoe Trent from Littlest Pet Shop
The final character I wanted to draw to represent one of the main 6 shows that made my year of being 19 worthwhile. It’s a show that just started, and now that I’m 20, I can’t wait for it to continue on! It really is an amazing show full of so many different species of animals, and the music makes my heart soar. Enough said.
I still remember when I was a little kid, I’d make drawings of my favorite characters in one setting, trying to figure out a universe where many shows collide. Amazing how that childhood interest progressed into this. And no, I’m not being smug, I’m just happy.

And what a happy birthday and DA anniversary this was.
The LPS song from the first episode was what inspired me to create the dialogue for this picture. Try singing these words while listening to the music.

Of course. Why else would anyone be angry at these pictures? I doubt it’s the fact that it’s massive crossover hell.
Or the ridiculously large number of Mary Sue OCs.
Or the out of character moments that happen much more often than in character moments.
I’m sure it’s that everyone isn’t as…pffft…talented…as her. I’m sure that people all just wish…that…that they could be…just…like…
…pfffft AHHHH ha ha ha ha…I’m sorry…I can’t…I just can’t say that with a straight face.
Aha. Not worth saying “touche” at all.
MAYBE I COULD USE YOU AS AN EXAMPLE OF A STUPID BUTTHURT BRONY!!1!
Hey. I could use you as an example of how not to deal with criticism.
FOR YOUR INFORMATION MISTER, I AM SECRECTPRODIDGYHEART ON DEVIANTART! BUT DON’T YOU DARE BOTHER ME ON THERE!!!! YOU DONT EVEN HAVE AN ACCOUNT LOL.
Stop following us. Who are you on DA anyway? I could use you as target practice.
sorry!
It’s really a waste of potential, if she had focused more of the art than her fiction and her passive aggressive opinions of those who criticize her, she would be a decent artist.
Her strawman debates against the MLP community has left her in a very negative view. Check the descriptions in her other artworks and comments to see why she is very disliked here.
Well, happy birthday, Cartunes. Everyone deserves it.
