I will pretend to ignore that, thank you very much. I would prefer to have my headcannon that they don’t need to do such things. Then again, these are cartoon ponies we are talking about, not actual creatures.
But bathrooms have been mentioned and seen several times throughout the show. I don’t remember the name of the episode, but one of the earliest mentions of bathrooms was in the episode where Applejack went to work for Cherry Jubilee and made a Pinkie Promise. She came out of an outhouse and Pinkie entered it, claiming she needed to use the “little filly’s room” and then comes out with a toilet paper clung to one of her hooves.
No, considering energy bars don’t exist in Equestria and ponies don’t seem to need bathrooms, either. I simply guess that their metabolism works differently than us humans. Therefore they may not need the same vitamins that we do in order to get energy.
