Maybe Dsana can possibly use elements from The Lion King and Brother Bear to make Winter Rye appear as a ghost to Fireweed aswell as appear to Tempest, Lullaby and his daughter Thistle to put a stop to the fight.
 
Ghost Winter Rye would say to Fireweed he’s very disappointed in his own son for trying to kill Tempest who unintentionally cause his death, meaning Winter Rye would forgive Tempest for what happen to him since he put his own life at risk to put the fire out without proper protection to save himself.
 
Make amends to his daughter Thistle to show how sorry he is for pushing her away and for the first time proud of her to see there is goodness in somepony like Tempest who deserves a chance of redemption.
 
Ghost Winter Rye should also tell Fireweed that Rusty has a dangerous and abusive nature that Winter Rye himself try his best to keep it in-check before his demise since Fireweed stubbornly refuse to believe what Tempest, Thistle and Lullaby say about him.

Even if Lullaby finally sees Tempest’s true identity as the Storm Monster she saw before while she was initially one of the Storm King’s prisoners, it won’t matter to Lullaby cause she still considers Tempest as Fizzy her mother and will need Thistle’s help (after Tempest regain her trust in Thistle) to save Tempest from the Thunderstone’s influence and save her life aswell as saving themselves.

I sincerely hope it’s not just turning Tempest into… well, Tempest, that’s supposed to be her “suffering”. Tempest likes being violent too much for it to be so bad. She only feels bad when she thinks someone she cares about saw it and didn’t approve.

yea, that’s what I’m thinking. A relapse that incorporates her worst nightmare. It turns her back into Tempest, strips away the redemption she worked so hard for, and shows her new loved ones the monster she believes herself to have been.  
That’s suffering for Tempest  
Seeing their beloved Fizzlepop turn into Monster!Tempest will be suffering for Thistledown and Lullaby (and their suffering will be additional suffering for Tempest).  
That’s potentially some long term mental emotional/psychological trauma right there.  
And Tempest is surely going to give an epic beatdown to Fireweed - that’s suffering for Fireweed
 
Mental, emotional, and physical sufferings and torture all around. You certainly can’t say that this artifact doesn’t deliver on it’s promises.

Why wouldn’t you use an artefact that tells you it inflicts suffering when your aim is to make someone suffer? It’s not like a comfort pillow would be of much use then or something.

Badass crystal armor, but I don’t think Tempest sees it the same way.  
Fireweed should’ve read the fine print on this artefact of doom!

I think it’s become abundantly clear that Fireweed is a dumbass. Why would you ever use an artifact that actually tells you it will inflict suffering? Evil genies lul you with promises of good intentions if you free them before torturing you. This thing just outright tells you it’s cruel, and you didn’t bother to try understand it? You fell for the Oldest Trick in the Book -3, which is when the trick isn’t a cliché, because nobody would be gullible enough to even try it in the first place!
