Mane6 has just announced preorders for this statuette of Velvet! They need to secure at least 250 preorders before January 31, 2021 in order for these to go into production (as of writing, they have 66 preorders).
Ho boy, I’m glad I ordered mine right quick rather than waiting to think about it!

In the Discord, Aaron said they already received a production sample that they like, so things should be okay as far as we’re aware.
That would make the legs and (ahem) tail floof fragile. Well, more fragile than Velvet, anyway.
After looking over this guy’s previous work, I think we can and should expect this to come out like it shows. Though the official hasbro toys are quite cheaply made if you ask me, I have noticed they really get lazy with the paintjob aspect. If this Velvet gets made the same way the other MLP toys are made, then we might end up with a lot of detail missing on the face and ears. Still, the colors are otherwise so simple here that I can’t imagine them screwing them up more than that.
