At least MLP: FIM didn’t end up like those shows and actually had a series finale and epilogue when Spongebob, The Simpsons, and Family Guy are still airing with new episodes to this day and also that the shows voice actors are getting old to the point of their vocal cords being damaged beyond repair and some voice actors have died during their long run, right?

The sad part is that legit reasons are more stronger than people’s unconditional love for the show and its changes.
Because people like to disagree on everything
That’s why she’s the best.

Twilynanas always overthinking things
FiM would’ve been less stale if they committed to replacing the M6 with the students. Instead, both groups got shafted: the M6 had weird character regressions and the students never got solo episodes to develop their personalities.
The student 6 only had 8 episodes for the 2 seasons they were in
Well, good thing they ended it then!
Those other shows got stale and NEVER ended.
No it isn’t. Completely different levels of technology, Pinkie has a brother and twilight is not the ruler of the equestria In fact I dont even think she’s a princess in the show
Totally different continuity.
But its not though. Its the same show. Same characters, Same universe, Same generation of MLP.
Yeah, maybe. What I understood is that the writers unanimously agreed to create the final season story arc and to conclude the show.
>no one ended the show
>the company marked it as the final one to be produced
So… they ended it. The executives who marked it to be the final one ended it. I understand what you’re saying, I just think you misunderstood my wording.

When was that ever said and if you actually watch the show its clearly not suppossed to be in the same continuity
OK, so, that’s Western Animation in a nutshell. Which I understand, why bank on a show, a cartoon mind you, made for children, that is plotly episodic, and thus, more or less unrerunable. I mean, it makes sense for an adult series because adults are more likely to commit to watching the whole thing but most kids would lose interest if they couldn’t follow the show in a clear and understandable way. I know I enjoyed the heck outta Ed Edd and Eddy particularly because every ep. was it’s own sorta thing. It was really cool that way.
Unfortunately, when you’re on a format like that, it can be hard to have direction in a show.

I think you don’t understand that no one “ended” the show, season 9 was just marked as the final one to be produced by the company, so it can continue on to new projects. Not that that’s a bad thing, mind you. G4’s run it’s course, artistically and professionally, at least, if you ask me. I mean, it’s reasonable.
They ended it at season 9 because shows can’t run for very long. Eventually they ran out of ideas and you could tell us at the end. Continuing it on would mean a serious dip in quality, even more obvious than before.
I, for one, liked the directions they explored in later seasons, but the overall story of the series was hampered because they never committed to any of the directions.
They usually try to after all
Me neither. I wouldn’t be surprised. Previous gens in terms of TV media before G4 didn’t last 10 years. G1 lasted for 2 years, G2 lasted for one year, and G3 lasted for 7 years. I think the 10 year run of G4 can tell us how exhausted the franchise must be. So I think G5 could be short lived, though there are people expecting it to be as good as G4 or better. And with the 2017 leaks, it seems like they have more plans for it. But it’s been three years since those leaks, so things may have changed from what was originally planned. FIM was a turning point for the franchise and I feel Hasbro will try too hard to make lightning strike twice.

I wouldn
t mind that, hopefully it means that there
