Choosing what to name your child is always difficult -especially when you live in a society where names often are a very close reflection of a persons inner self. But when Maud and Mudbriar saw that positive result, they both immedietly knew that they would not have that issue. Clearly, the baby’s name should be (Shale|Sprig)!

Uh oh.
Aand, yeah, suprise to no-one, Breakin’ Bones is a MaudBriar kid. And to the suprise of maybe someone, his name originally was actually Sticks n’ Stones. (And even before that, Amethyst Cluster for a few seconds. Before they changed it to a compromise and the nurse had to erase what’s he’d written). Once Maud and Mudbriar come down from the baby-high a bit, they’re gonna start arguing again, this time if his nickname should be Sticks or Stones. They end up just using a different one each. Bones was a a confused child when it came to what his name was.
The reason for the name change is that, like many of my nextgen characters (and in accordance to my headcanon as to why ponies names match their cutie marks), he changed his name once he got his mark -which, I have not settled on a design for. It’s got a bone in it, that’s all I have so far. The fact that his birth name and mark name both line up with a common rhyme here in our world is pure coincidence, I did not originally create his design based on it, absolutely not.

Also, Pinkie, you have your own child you could have named after youself if it was that important to you, no need to drag your sister into it.
