That's actually one of the biggest motivations behind why I never evolved my style beyond being show-accurate, is I really like to depict these things in a way they would reasonably look if they actually appeared in the show. It's what was so great when the sphinx aired, because I was actually able to compare the way a canon sphinx actually looks to the style I came up with before:

It was really neat for me to be able to sit down and reflect on the differences, like how I had a much bulkier design with more emphasis on the Greek sphinx, while theirs was much more streamlined and put much more emphasis on the Egyptian sphinx, yet at the same time we were like "Yellow eyes and cat ears" XD
