Artist’s description: I made this image to express some concerns and feelings of mine.
So, I felt kinda depressed when the show ended last year. It really changed my life. I joined the fandom when I was 13 I think when season 3 happened. It was a time when I was going through rough times and this show was one of the only things that helped me cope with that hard life. Some of the plots in some episodes were extremely relatable and realistic. I’m sure it affected a lot of people too. The series may had its ups and downs, but that doesn’t mean it’s complete garbage altogether. This show was one of the primary reasons why I decided to become an artist. I made thousands of people happy because of my works over the years. When the series ended last year, I felt sad, knowing that all good things must come to an end. And not too long ago, I had a mental breakdown. I couldn’t stop weeping, as this really did change my life. I knew I would never see these relatable characters on the small screen again. I felt heavily depressed afterwards. And as a guy with autism, my breakdowns were much much worse. I’m sure many of you all felt the same way too.
Imo, I highly doubt G5 will capture the same heart G4 did. G4 showed a lot of potential in their stories unlike any other generation. That’s what makes it so unique compared to others. I feel like G5 may come back to its cutesy state like the franchise did before G4 came along. There are rumors claiming that it will be more darker and serious. However, I doubt that, mainly because that element has already showed itself at times throughout the series. I will never forget G4 until the day I die. And hopefully most of you all too.
Oh and last thing I want to tell you all. I might produce G4 pony content only even when G5 comes and airs next year, just to keep the real spirit strong. I want to keep the G4 community happy.

I will never forget about everyone of you your my friends and death can’t separate us.
That’s true.
And technically if G5 is set in the same continuity as G4 (even if I find the prospect of a sequel dubious) fan works will still be using her and fans who do a G5 shift/new G5 fans will still have reason for drawing on G4.
Or was it piggy wiggy?
no clearly her name is Twiggie Smalls

But… I read your comment and took it literally, I apologize.

I meant that good shows don’t have to keep running new episodes to be remembered, liked and content-created. EqG’s fans can still re-watch as well as create and enjoy fanmade content as long as they so wish, story unfinished does not bar them from doing so. And if someone new discovers and likes EqG, they can too.
Also, about EqG’s situation, I personally never watched it (I don’t hate, just not interested), so I barely have any idea about what’s happening there.

Then why do people prefer Equestria Girls’ story to be unfinished then? There are people who oppose a few who want EqG to finish its story just because the show is over. (As if people act like FiM needs to keep running in order for the spin-offs and films to keep going)
G4 is unique in a good way and I doubt g5 if anything can replace it.
Also, end of the series does not mean end of the thing itself. There are shows that ended or declined into garbage many years ago, yet they are still remembered, have communities and sometimes even still used for memes. Avatar The last airbender and first seasons of spongebob and the most known examples, and I believe not the only ones.
