The fact is that there is no socialism in China, there is real capitalism (in a red wrapper) For me, China is not a socialist state, because there is private ownership of the means of production.
 
If it were not for Deng Xiaoping’s capitalist reforms, then China, like all socialist and quasi-socialist countries, would be in the world’s garbage))

Reminds me of the famous leftist Peace Yang who is the son of one of the female scientists Cold Spring in Project Manhattan, and he told us China is not PRC after 1978 when the constitution is changed by bureaucratic capitalists. And that’s why Deng called a few army areas to have those tanks drove on the road.

Gorbachev in the USSR tried, like Deng Xiaoping (on the experience of his Chinese comrades, to introduce a market sector economy in order to save the country) But only Gorbachev’s mistake was that he did this in parallel with the democratisation of society, so the system went wild and everything fell apart.  
In China, no political democracy followed; there the oppositionists were killed in Tiananmen Square.

Well, technically yes, English is easier language than Chinese at least.
 
But life there in China has mixed feelings, not always good or bad, same for USA I bet, depends on the root culture of each individuals.
