Maybe they are in the Pony Life universe. Maybe it’s just a pony type that happens sometimes, when a unicorn and pegasus love each other veeeeeery much. Doesn’t make you extra-awesome or superior to any of the other tribes, just a little more flexible.

Twilight was having trouble pushing that box up a hill in Badge of Shame, after all. Her magic alone couldn’t lift it, just make it a bit lighter.
