ok these kids are a result of “Heartmateship” as explained in the other post, which means the parents would be: “Closer than friends”, “Less than Lovers” and finally “They did not make these kids through sexual means”. when Cadance, Twilight and little Flurry Heart found out about the heartship bond and decided to teach Flurry to grow into a princess of that element, as to show their support of this method to other ponies who may feel scared of new elements being found in their world, Twilight, Sunset and other mentioned as the parents here, planned on having kids with their Heartmates, or with their significant others but with the heartship means to conceive a foal [couples are heartmates before they are lovers]. so anyways all the parents here decided to plan it, though some planned it at a later time. the three first ones were Twilight, Sunset and Starlight’s kids and the three of them had quite a journey experiencing the entire thing together lol. anyways just a reminder that the Heartship means of conceiving a child is that they exchange their “magic of life” with a unicorn/alicorn as a medium, and at most it would take a hug, nothing sexual.
also please take it easy with the comments, its just a cartoon and my idea of a fantasy would of magical horses.

Ah. That’s sort of strange for a fandom with the majority of the ships being lesbian.
Stuff involving gender/sexuality headcanons almost always get a big wave of downvotes, sadly.
Not really, since the point is to create LGBT characters to fill the void left by mainstream entertainment which doesn’t have a lot of representation for LGBT people. Call it wish fulfillment. Also, a marginalized group is only one that is a minority in that world and opressed as a result. When I said marginalized, I meant that LGBT folks are marginalized in the real world.
But if non are hetero, doesn’t that make it the marginalized groud?
But then again, this ain’t my AU. So the artist can do whatever they feel is right!

Quite a few of them are the result of hetero cis relationships. Though I suppose you’re wondering why a lot of AUs do this. Short answer, representation of a marginalized group that doesn’t get much.
