To be honest, even that character animation style has been around even longer then TTG, and one of the earliest examples of that “thick line” style is the ’90s show “2 Stupid Dogs,” or maybe even Hanna Barbara cartoons from the ’60s, or even those rubberhose cartoons from the 1930s.

Hmm, not really. The backgrounds and some of the jokes have been cartoony, but not the character designs actually. They’ve been pretty rigid. If I had to pick something of this show that is most like “Teen Titans Go” it’s the character animation. Now in this clip:
