What has been said indicating that anyone thinks Dash and Rarity aren’t friends? All that’s been mentioned is that this makes it look like she’s drawing an emotional Dash from a somewhat scared looking kid.
^It doesn’t. Who said she was angry, or why would she be? I think she’s just trying to be subtle by calmly stopping RD back from making a big scene.
How dies she even remotely look like she’s even holding back any anger at all here?
Is it me, or do a lot of you go out your way to paint rarity and dash as if they aren’t friends? Because that’s just outright wrong
Honestly, I thought that was what actually happened, at least in part. Sort of a cross between a comforting gesture and ‘Let’s not traumatize the children now’ thing.

Actually yeah, it almost does look like she’s trying to rein Dash in versus hug her. Didn’t notice that the first time.
