It’s not that I love Luna that makes me hate Celestia as you seem to put it, it’s more to do with how seemingly ungodly perfect she is decried as being without showing much in the way of regret, apologetic repentance, or seeking to make any amends or accepting the blame for her own mistakes. If she did care enough about her sister when she had fallen, than why would she leave her trapped on the Moon for 1000 years in the first place; especially when she had the power all along to release her any time she wished?
 

 
The only reason why Luna fell was due to sheer loneliness and feeling that she wasn’t appreciated or loved enough by their subjects, in many ways even her own sister seemed to continuously ignore her; a fact that hasn’t gotten any better at all with the way that the government was now restructured to solely work around Celestia leaving Luna without anything of her own; not even a throne until season 8. Even Nightmare Night is just one big insult directed towards Luna by constantly demonizing her alter-ego and painting her as a foal-eating monster that terrorizes children unless she is appeased with candy, not even spending a moment within the 1000 years to help the public differentiate Luna from Nightmare Moon, or even trying to leave any details about Luna in the history books that are available to the wider public.
 

 
Even after Luna was released, Celestia didn’t try to confront her on her own or even try to make any apology for what SHE did to her. Even after Twilight and her friends used the elements on Luna and Celestia showed up; she didn’t act like a sister who made a mistake and wanted to make amends, she simply demanded for Luna to accept her friendship without saying that she was even remotely wrong for what she did. And to make things even worse, she simply considered using her own sister as a punching bag for Twilight to begin her journey to becoming their replacement as rulers of Equestria.
 

 
The fact that Sunset Shimmer was once Celestias’ apprentice before she took in Twilight implied that originally Celestia was trying to groom Sunset to become their replacement in ruling Equestria, however unlike Twilight who slowly became willing to accept any and all orders from Celestia at face-value, Sunset was more intuitive and determined often seeking power for the sake that its an option available to her. In many ways Sunset would have easily and readily became an Alicorn. However Celestia kept holding her back and placing more and more restrictions on her to keep her in check. Eventually this reached a breaking point where Sunset ran away and refused to work with Celestia: possibly discovering exactly what Celestia was setting her up for.
 

 
Then there is the ultimate rationale behind Celestia’s actions: is making Twilight Sparkle the new sole ruler of Equestria even worth it? Is this the path that is for the good of Equestria or good for her alone? To have damaged and destroyed her own family in such unapologetic ways; to the point where her sister was forgotten for 1000 years, where her own daughter is encased in stone for eternity, and where Twilight is blissfully unaware of the Princess of the Sun whom she has seen as a second mother and mentor is nothing more than a control freak that has slowly manipulated every single aspect of Twilights’ life because of a supposed “Destiny” implanted into the crystalline trunk of the Tree of Harmony as Twilights’ Cutie Mark. Is all of this that Celestia even did worth it?

From the looks of it, Luna is still not getting the amount of appreciation Celestia has gotten even after protecting them in their dreams.  
Also, NMM wouldn’t let Equestria freeze due to she wanted her night to be love, not because she’s doing Eternal Night because “evulz”. It would contradict her goals if she allows the ponies to die, then no one would love her night.  
In fact, the NMM timeline in Cutie Re-Mark shows NMM succeeded in just that with how Equestria was just completely fine despite it being night all the time. I think NMM even mentioned its been years since she booted Celestia to the moon.

you forget Celestia is be young and naive on the time she seal luna and she don’t have the choice to do, and is broke her heart, thanks of all her student, she a not fall the same darkness luna a fall, plus if Celestia be the mother Cozy, she will make sure Cozy rise on the good path(not make the same mistake with sunset) Cozy will a great and friendly filly who want to help and make friends, you see only the dark past of celestia, all because she seal luna, you jump on the celestia-hater train and believe all their hate and headcanon as canon and not look the good she a done, this is the problem of luna-lover, see luna as nothing but as victim and not look her wrong, Yes Luna be victim as some level but is more the faul of those who love Celestia day, but don’t forget , Celestia have a lot duty, yes she love all the love she get from the subject but she have still rule the kingdom, Luna be so young and she try to do her part but the subject be sleep when she do her duty, Luna so young not see all she could do to be love by her subject, like protect them in their dreamthis is something she do alter be reform when luna turn to nightmare moon, Celestia a try to reasoned her but she don’t lesson, Luna try to murder her own sister and make the eternal night who is a stupid plan and will kill every life from on the plant, You think is be fun for Celestia to sealing her own sister to the moon? if you say yes! you a dead wrong, she be really hurt!

You DO realize that this is the same Celestia that sent her own kid sister to the Moon for 1000 years and had the power to return her whenever she wanted to, right? Technically speaking everything that caused Luna to fall and become Nightmare Moon is all Celestia’s fault, she screwed over her sister instead of talking things out rationally. If that’s how she treats her sister, what makes you think that she wouldn’t do something to screw over her own daughter?

It wasn’t Celestia that reached out, since she was the one who originally pushed her away…  
I believe that at some point, Mother and Daughter had reconciled (likely over a holy beatdown of a greater threat that had opposed their ideals and personally-held beliefs which resulted in a near-death from the younger filly while Celestia slowly helped nurse her back to health), over time the two of them learned exactly what it felt like to have a family once again. This image was one taken before Celestia returned to Cozy Glow her natural Alicorn Magic.

Who exactly said that Cozy is adopted? I’m of the camp that believes Princess Celestia actually gave birth to Cozy Glow.

Why go to those lengths? Cozy and her mother are both very volatile when it comes to expending heat as shown with despite having been turned into a Pegasus, Cozy was able to instantly reach an external body temperature equivalent to 32°F easily.  

 
Cozy coating herself in poison would be ineffective and a waste of good poison since it would just instantly evaporate upon contact. And to openly declare yourself a villain is to know that what you are doing is wrong, but you follow through on a venture of pointless Nihilism: destruction for the sake of destruction, making a “villain” no different from a Raider.  
Besides, what kind of street cred can be ruined when your Mom is the mothabucking Sun Princess? Especially one who no longer has to hide?  

For the purposes of maintaining her status as a villain, Cozy has coated herself in poison so that this hug does not cause her to lose too much of her street cred.

I may have already said it before elsewhere, but I believe that we can all agree on who is most-likely Cozy’s Father.  
 
Due to the heavy presence of lighter pastels, Cozy while inheriting her Mothers’ coat would also have Sombras’ mane. And due to her veritable nature of being a child born of two parents from completely different worlds that under no circumstances would have ever met period. I am not saying that it wouldn’t apply to alternate timelines like in The Cutie Re-Mark simply because there wouldn’t be any restriction in place to prevent Celestia from wanting to bang the other worlds’ King Sombra, but it would be downright impossible for Principal Celestia to have accomplished a similar feat on her own, meaning that there is no EqG Cozy Glow that could even physically exist.

Cute! But what I want to know is how Celestia was able to reach into Cozy’s heart.
