Because reasons. I could chalk it up to the current copyright and trademark laws being severely out of date with the times, having been drafted at a time before the internet. And like a lot of things: it hasn’t caught up.
 
I feel laws and companies need to begin adapting their policies and action to accomodate for the internet, but then again: the people writing them and the people running the companies are not the “internet generation” and are still people who were awkward teenagers in the 70’s, or 80’s at best. And were not educated around the principle of the internet existing so resort to archaic moves.
 
As said before: if you want change might as well organize a mass writing campaign to your local legislator and try to persuade him to get laws adapted for the modern time. It’s probably the only way we can get such a flexible and accommodating law in place.

I don’t see what any of this is supposed to prove.

I never heard of the effect before, but I kinda wish they would do that to one of the ponipornpaysites so your ‘man-on-the-street’ would be like “There’s my little pony porn? And people PAY for it?!?!” whenever someone brings up bronies. Fun fun stuffs.

I’m saying that saying “THIS PRODUCT IS NOT AFFILIATED WITH HASBRO IN ANYWAY, ALL TRADEMARKS BELONG TO THEIR RESPECTIVE OWNERS” is not enough to cover yourself.
 
It still could be confused for an official Hasbro product, so Hasbro doesn’t want it to be made. If they had added things like blood or gore, it would have never gotten C&D’d.

Again, one could obviously tell this wasn’t a Hasbro approved site. Especially when looking under the “explicit” tag.
 
Why wouldn’t Hasbro go after that? Streisand Effect, of course. It would be much worse for PR saying that there are “adult” images of their IP online and cracking down on them than just ignoring them.
 
Which is why Fighting is Magic should have done something, anything to show that it obviously wasn’t a Hasbro product.

They didn’t get rid of it because they don’t care about us/want the older fanbase to go away. They got rid of it because it is an unauthorized use of their trademarks that got popular enough that it would put their whole IP in jeopardy. If they had kept the whole thing on the DL, it would have never gotten C&D’d.
 
You don’t announce a huge fanmade game like this and try to enter it into fighting game tournaments and expect to have it all go over. Fair use exists, but when you’re so incredibly open about a massive project, things won’t go well.

two hasbro us reusing molds which is very common
 
three hasbro toys are design for little girls to roughe them up as they plausible with them and carry them around
 
i don’t really mind hasbro not pandering fully to us its been shown that tv shows that switch demographics to the expected one then to fail. As long as its still well written it will still be good
