I do understand, and yeah, you can totally say it is “using” the stereotype, but well, the written text is a medium that obviously lacks some details, so you gotta play all your cards to push certain ideas or tones. Just how many people like to add things like “/s” or “(?)” when making a sarcastic comment, ‘cause if they can’t hear you, they can’t really tell the tone. Accents are obviously something like that too. Sorry if it came out offensive, but I just simply wanna bring out the accent, ‘cause I really like it, y’know?

I appreciate you explaining why you do that, and that you came here to talk about it with us. I just couldn’t help but feel it was an over the top stereotype on us around here. I mean, I’m a redneck that doesn’t enjoy SPEAKING like a redneck, but I HEAR it all the time. So basically I am bi-slang-ual (yes, I made that up. Deal with it, English teachers!)

I know ^^; It’s something many have told me heh, but the main reason I use it is to textually add more of the accent and twang to her voice. Since you can’t hear it, I tend to use things like that to work out the accent. Same as apostrophing certain words. Or replacing some “I” sounds with “Ah” sounds.  
I likewise do the opposite for Rarity, to emulate her posher/fancier accent, I tend to not contract any of her words. She’s always “do not”, “I will”, “He is” rather than “don’t”, “I’ll” or “he’s”.
 
I know I could do something else with “y’all” like writing it a “ya” when it’s aimed at singulars and reserve “y’all” for plural, but I (personally) feel “ya” makes me think of a different accent. And I’ve seen some other writers do it like “yew” or other versions, but those always make me feel weird about it. But just leaving it at “you” feels… lacking, in a way (in writing), ‘cause I feel the accent is pretty important and indicative, and it’s something I like to highlight, as I love working with more elipses for Fluttershy, and what I said about Rarity or the pseudo-ancient speak of Princess Luna.  
And to be honest, in many of my newer stories or shorter comics or stuff, I do use “ya” but at this point I keep it as “y’all” on Why Me!? for consistency XD

well, considering it was Luna who brainwashed the mane6, causing them to chase AJ trying to basically rape her… I don’t think she deserves happiness in this particular story.  
Of course, if it was any other story, I’d be equally as sad seeing unhappy Luna.

I think why it bothers me in seeing Luna sad in this ending is due to its because of Celestia in some way(like she kind of caused Luna to get sad due to Applejack choosing her over Luna).  
I don’t know.. it just bugs me. Sorry.

Yeah, that’s the thing about this comic: all the girls were chasing AJ around and trying to molest her, while being mind-controlled. And then it goes “Choose your ending”. He already did one with Rainbow Dash, as well as a full harem, and a “friendship” ending”. Now it’s Celestia’s turn. There’ll probably also be a Luna ending too.
