I agree, whoever uploaded this. Fuck hasbro’s copyright bullshit, fighting is magic was a free game and they would have been losing NOTHING, but fuck mane six even more for jut giving up, I mean, I disliked them from the beginning because they didn’t ever release an open beta, but yeah, fim needs to be a thing, not that placeholder llama dhit that lauren faust “helped” them create characters for, the whole point was that it was gonna be pony characters. Really, they should’ve either finished it anyway and quietly released it (and later say that someone just happened to leak a build that existed before the C&D), or give up altogether.

It’s easy to do, and could also land someone with an assload of fines for trademark infringement.

If the game was conveniently leaked RIGHT after it was given a C&D Order, no court would ever believe that they didn’t do it themselves.

Fair use cover everything and nothing at the same time, every party can claim it is fair use or not for every subject and get different outcome in court.

Interestingly enough fair use doesn’t cover what a lot of people seem to think it does.

It’s okay, this drama doesn’t bother me, cause i never went on this ride, i’m just worried about how will all of this end.  
We complained about thousands of things in just a few weeks, the love for the show seems to be decreased since last year.  
What will happen then?We’ll give a middle finger to hasbro and stop watching the show until it gets canceled?

If a third party “Hacked” manesix it would be very childish, but probably successful.  
Als it should be noted that a C&D is a polite way of not needing to actually sue Manesix.

You’re aware the EVO Build was out in public beforehand right? That means the only data needed to be released is new character data, if they even made some since then. Nothing else. Community’ll take care of the rest. Backgrounds aren’t that important, there’s lots of stuff ripped from the show already, all that is needed is some bg characters and animations. So no, not breaking it because the program itself wasn’t released.

Something bad always happen, what can people do.  
And don’t answer ¨stop bitching about it¨, people need to share their feelings, it been that way since ever.

Given the public presence around Fighting is Magic, if Hasbro took the time to send out a S&D, chances are they’d also take the time to enforce it.  
And while it could be neat for them to finish and ‘leak’ it, it would also be illegal.  
Even if it was covered by Fair Use laws, the DMCA really acts as a catch all for shutting down projects like this, or any youtube parodies the parent company dislikes.

Doing so would also be illegal at this point. And don’t just think that the one doing the leaking would be the only one charged with breaking a C&D here.

Thats it.  
No one tell me about any MLP Projects until its released!  
I want to avoid certain lawsuits towards them!
