Being bitchy/whiny about this is a bad idea.
 
Sending some thoughtful and intelligently-composed letters on the current state of fair use, copyright laws, and fan works might be a good idea. Emphasis on thoughtful and intelligent.
 
/Fighting/ is a bad idea. As other people have stated, Hasbro’s required to send out C&D letters because of how copyright law currently works.
 
Bitching at Hasbro for screwing over the fans won’t get anyone anywhere. Politely asking how they can work WITH the fans might.
 
(Also most likely outcome – Fighting is Magic can continue, but it can only use the palette-swapped versions of the characters.).

If they file a C&D against mlp porn, let’s start a grassroots on that!!!
