No, they didn’t change the ending, they only added more bullshit.
signed, not that it will make any difference cause the fuckers dont care
Who said it ‘always’ works? It sometimes can is all.
No, Joshua Wickett.
That won’t work.
Sign it if you want your precious Fighting is Magic to live.
If people outside of the fandom are torrenting it, whatever. But people in the fandom should be public about stating that they’re NOT the ones pirating it.
You can’t work with abuse in the air.
This is abuse. They are not respecting fan work. Being polite and sending requests and letters will only be used to recycle paper. They make you believe it works, but it doesn’t.
Catch the eyes of the fourth power: the media. And use the fifth: the internet for our advantage. Their money and law is powerless against them.
Sending thoughtful letters is something we should do. But for right now, let’s see how the Dev team work things out.
This.
Being bitchy/whiny about this is a bad idea.
Sending some thoughtful and intelligently-composed letters on the current state of fair use, copyright laws, and fan works might be a good idea. Emphasis on thoughtful and intelligent.
/Fighting/ is a bad idea. As other people have stated, Hasbro’s required to send out C&D letters because of how copyright law currently works.
Bitching at Hasbro for screwing over the fans won’t get anyone anywhere. Politely asking how they can work WITH the fans might.
(Also most likely outcome – Fighting is Magic can continue, but it can only use the palette-swapped versions of the characters.).
/mlp/ happened.
Who cares about numbers when you can create shitstorms?
Noisy, public, media-catching events. Where those who complained about Derpy that many? No.
Everyone who bought a official toy: Let’s go to Hasbro HQ, and trow them at their gates. Not one at the time. Lots and lots.
And in the shadows, the internet is your friend. Leak.
I thought one of them lived in New Zealand?
He’s a big supporter of fan projects based on his own works, too. Even when there was one false alarm over Black Mesa Source getting CDAd, all he asked of them was to cut down the name to “Black Mesa,” and then he let them go on their merry way. Why can’t Hasbro be cool like that?
They can do that. They can leak whatever they have right now. They can even continue working on the game underground and the release it.
But they won’t.
