Luna continued to stare at where Lurker had been in my Equestria dreamscape.
The princess found that she was breathing heavily. Maybe it had been the events of the last few hours that had gotten adrenaline her pumping, but the spell she’d just cast seemed to have had far more potency than she’d expected.
The Princess of the Moon spun on her heels at the sound of movement behind her. Prophecy had woken from her sedative slumber. She’d raised her head off the pillow and was now staring at the alicorn with a bleary eyes. With a sleepy voice she spoke.
“Hhheeellllooo. Who are you? Uh, uh you’re not a nurse. Where am I? This uh, isn’t my room.”
Luna slowly walked up to the young unicorn mare. Her thin, almost gaunt, features were framed by her unkempt black mane. Still trying to shake the cobwebs of sleep from her mind Prophecy spoke.
“Princess Luna? Is that you? Am I asleep?” She paused and slowly looked around the room. “No. No. I think I’m, I’m awake. I think I’ve been in this room before.” Her ice blue eyes settled back on the alicorn. “Why are you, uh, here your Highness?”
Luna leaned forward and gently nuzzled the mare. “I’m here to help you. I’m here to give you a chance. To give you the support you’ve been needing.”
The princess’s voice paused. “And I’m here to see if some form agreeable can reached with all parties involved.” Luna leaned forward until her muzzle was almost touching Prophecy’s. “And I mean all parties.”
The young mare suddenly convulsed. As Luna looked on Prophecy’s ice blue eyes slowly rolled up into her skull. Taking their place was a pair of garnet red eyes. As this happened the unicorn seemed to become more awake and confident.
“Yes Princess of the Moon. It should be possible to come an amicable agreement for all everyone involved. So long as all parties are respected and have a voice in these negotiations. Is that acceptable your Highness?”
During this transformation Luna had kept her face neutral. “Yes Viper.” She said in a neutral voice. “So long as your plans do not endanger this world or those who inhabit it. Then I believe an agreement can be reached.”
Prophecy shuddered again. Once again the mare’s eyes rolled up into her skull and a new pair of eyes came into view. Vivid emerald green with horizontal slit pupils stared back at the princess. Then Creeper spoke “If you’re willing to dance with us ruler of the nighttime sky then we’ll dance with you.”
Luna started to reply when Creeper/Prophecy suddenly pulled her head back and stared at her with a look of alarm in her eyes. After a couple of seconds the mare spoke. “However if you wish to join us please do not wear bows to the dance. Bows don’t look good on you.”
To be continued.
