I have nothing against people disliking the Williams siblings or other humans in My Little Pony. It’s just that their reasons why are invalid. For example, in case you’d argue that “only anthropomorphics are allowed,” there’s no reason for you to make up such rule. I mean, anthropomorphism is just the attribution of human traits, emotions, or intentions to non-human entities, which merely results of them becoming equivalent to humans. And humans are animals themselves. Would you disrespect everyone’s opinion that they like the Williams siblings and other humans in My Little Pony by going around shoving this “only anthropomorphics are allowed” argument down their throats?
Furthermore, Danny has already proved himself as the most competent character of My Little Pony. He has authority, he is a leader, he is stalwart, he is brave, he is resourceful, and everything. He even knows what it takes to keep the ponies safe from all sorts of dangers and foes. In Spike’s Search, I loved the part when he - and the ponies - kicked three dragon bullies’ ass at the end.
Most importantly, Danny is the one who created the Magic of Friendship since he’s the original Brony — he’s the source of it, which is why he and Twilight Sparkle would be a perfect duo. And Majesty is the one you should consider as a “omnipotent god” due to her ability of “making wishes come true,” and I don’t recall the last time I said that I’d give Danny such ability, either. Anyway, he and the ponies had a lot in common, which has already been proven in the G1 show. In the Ghost of Paradise Estate episode, for example, he and the ponies built traps to catch the ghost - and chased it, later on - together.
Just because “the Williams siblings were members of the primary cast it contradicts/violates the title,” that doesn’t that they must be removed. And does it still “contradict/violate the title” if they’re one of the members in the primary cast? Either way, I don’t think that’s the problem here. I mean, if the “My Little Pony” title cements the ponies as the primary leading figures and/or world in inhabitants,” then it should’ve been ponies only and no other species. And there’d be no Spike episodes, such as Spike’s Search, either. If you’d argue that humans are simply not necessary, then what makes you think that dragons - particularly Spike - are necessary?
Putting any species in My Little Pony, especially in the primary cast would be the equivalent to making the main character of “Sonic the Hedgehog” a mouse or a snail or a gorilla, in that case. And, once again, humans are animals themselves.
If it’s “very likely to occur anyway,” it’s the audience themselves who’s responsible, not the humans. Such effect would occur because of other species, as well, in that case. Once again, it’s your choice if you want to identify with the humans - and other species - or not, and I choose not to. So, in reality - as I said - there’s nothing wrong with including humans in My Little Pony or any other franchise — it’s not a problem at all.

As I said, I respect TexasUberAlles’ opinion. But what he said isn’t true. I mean, if it was, then it’s the audience‘s fault why the “ponies are no longer the stars of their own show,” not the humans. And any species would automatically be the “audience stand-in,” in that case. Furthermore, it’s your choice if you want to identify with the humans - and other species - or not, and I choose not to.
The humans haven’t done anything wrong — they are their own individual people and everything, just like the ponies are, no matter what. And, most importantly, humans are animals themselves.

There are just as many works that don’t feature humans as those that do.
Disney’s Robin Hood, The Racoons, SWAT Kats, Star Fox, Kungfu Panda are just a few examples. There’s no humans in any of those things.
As @TexasUberAlles said in the case of MLP:
“humans which appear are automatically the Audience Stand-In, and the Ponies are no longer their own individual people, they’re just funny talking animals there to bounce off the humans.”
That’s the problem with including humans in MLP or anything else that’s set in a universe of anthropomorphic characters.
In the end it all comes down to whether or not franchise’s universe is designed to allow humans or human-like beings to exist or not.

@TexasUberAlles
This image that features the only prominent human boy character of the G1 show and the entire MLP universe, Danny Williams, is the first Brony since then who hanged around with all the ponies/mares and even related himself with them to their level.

Danny saved Ponyland from Squirk, the Gizmonks, a gang of dragon bullies, and so on. He’s also badass, fearless, resourceful, a perfect leader, and is like a father/big brother for Spike.

That makes Danny, without doubt, a king. I’d give him that title if I were the creator of MLP, for each generation. And, anyone doesn’t have a “malfunction of mistaking” any of that, like having humans in MLP.

I don’t actually care how you interpret it, if a bunch of different posters are going to have the same malfunction of mistaking “occasional goofing” for “unironically hatescreaming on literally every image in a tag” I’m not going to bother formulating a separate reply for each of them.
