If you think public bathrooms as a whole are all unclean/unsanitary, then you CLEARLY buy into the myth and add to it by leaving a huge mess for the staff to clean.
 
The workers that have to clean those constantly because some moron though ‘Oh, public bathrooms are nasty, so I’m not gonna sit properly and crap ALL OVER THE PLACE’ and do so, then leave without saying something… YOU”RE the reason that stereotype exists.
 
And don’t get me started on you “nesters” that use half a roll of tp to make a ‘safety nest’ over the seat.

All things considered, the staff bathrooms get used less and are better maintained by staff than the public washrooms. Overall, it would be much cleaner and much tidier.

Yes, but I’m sure even those don’t get maintained or cleaned as often as they should. There’s only so many staff bathrooms and only so many custodial workers.
