The Imperium has a notoriously bad time with psychers.

Well on the one hand, rarity looks cool but on the other……if the imperium landed on equestria, then our fav mlp characters are doomed. Not a single character in mlp, no matter how badass they are, has even a fraction of a shred of a chance in winning.

Temper all of these questions with “Rule of Funny” and, as much as SFAccountant may deny it, “Status Quo is God”. Ponies need to be that bizarre mix of canon goody-two-shoes and evil satanists that you can see both burning Imperium worlds one day and passing out pamphlets on the Chaos Magic of Friendship on a Hive World the next. Equestria needs to be this weird meeting place of Pony Heaven and Chaos Hell coexisting because Magic does not care where the Friendship flows, only that it flows. Most importantly, this all has to be funny.
 
Chain-gangs of Pony trench diggers don’t get to run around being genocidal friendship cultists, and being slapped on a billion dissection tables don’t make for good comedy.
 
Not saying these questions WON’T be answer. Just that the answer will be more “Family Guy cutaway gag” about Sombra finally resurrecting himself in order to enact his revenge on weaklings … only to find himself in Magnus’ labs because those weakling have found even darker masters than him and decided to pay the Red Cyclops tribute so he’d leave them be and he feels inadequate insert impotence joke, and less typical 40K Grimderp.

Never forget Peterabro is not a devout Chaos worshipper. Chaos is a means to a end rather than a devotion for him. He can take or leave the Four. He is far too pragmatic. The interesting thing would be how he would include Ponys into the Legion structure. Break them up into multiple grand companys, enslave them to dig trenches, destroy them for daring to attempt to rise up to Astarte level. And then what happens when Magnus see’s Unicorns? Or Abaddon desires the use of Ponys as slaves wholesale? Or worse, Fabius Bile wants there genetics?

That said, converting a species like Ponies wholly to Chaos? A species that seems to be gleefully charging towards creating a fifth Chaos God?

Again, while the series DOES occasionally dip into serious drama and gravitas, it’s all mostly played for laughs.

Want to remind everyone that, as far as this term applies to 40k, the Sister is the GOOD GUY here. Ponies serve Chaos in this universe, and there have been some rumblings of a Friendship Chaos God in the future.
