Well I’m not really the one who illustrated the piece, so if you have questions further regarding the frame, I think. The artist herself can answer that for you. Otherwise I do not know what to say.
Her left foreleg, shoulder and all, is placed not just behind her left leg but behind her torso as well.
She doesn’t, it’s just the manner in which her left front hoof is tucked under below her right front hoof that makes in appear at that angle.
And so it does ;)
