OMG YOU’RE COMING BACK!

Doing requests could help keep the stream going for a while. I usually do that along with lining and coloring sketches and updates for PD.

I will squeal so much if Dashed Rainbow comes back XD

Highplains! You’re alive!

Also, that’s a self-discipline issue. It shouldn’t feel like a chore so much as you actually want to be getting the practice in. Perhaps start with an OC with a couple artists for a warm up? Helps me occasionally.

Though I usually wait until I have a surge of creative energy until I draw for hours at a time.

I’m no artist, but with other things I find writing down specifically what I want to achieve helps (like what Muffinshire said), makes it like a game where you’re fighting for a particular score. And also try to be impulsive, don’t think about doing art, just do it.

If I have to grind, I’m not gonna play that RPG, lol.

My Little Pony - 1992 Edition

dead to you
Having music in the background helps me. It isn’t distracting but it keeps it from feeling too monotonous.
I don’t know if this is a problem for you, but stick with things you already know what they should look like. Research is a focus-killer.
If there’s an area you wish you were better in, focus on it. Frustration sucks, but it’s not boring.
If all else fails, look at it like an RPG. Grinding for experience might not be exciting, but not having to re-fight the big bad a billion times makes it worth it.

Have some goals in mind. Aim to complete a certain number of pictures, or set yourself themes (take suggestions, or have a look through the various artist training grounds/art challenge events on dA for previous themes), or aim to use every main character in at least one piece. Look at your previous work, identify your shortcomings and do pieces that stretch your boundaries.

I dunno… take screencaps from the show and try to draw them from a different camera angle?

Have movies / series play in the background and set yourself to draw X things before each is over?

Do requests “live”, feel the pressure of a thousand souls judging your every line and how long it takes to complete each piece?

What I meant to say was: Could any artists provide tips that might help me out on this EPIC QUEST? Including, yes, how I might stick with it.
