Tch. My previous laptop came with Vista. I never gave it a chance to boot without an XP installation CD in there. I waited and skipped to 7, haven’t looked back since.
only reason I have windows 8 is because it came with my new laptop that I got as a gift
Now, the funny thing is, the question was about liking Windows 8.
You obviously don’t.
For my part, I’m sure there’s a lot of interesting under-the-hood improvements, and the new copier certainly tickled my fancy, but I feel they really dropped the damn ball on most of the rest.
I’m sure it works great on a tablet, but Metro (which isn’t even its name anymore but lol whatever) honestly has no place on a laptop or desktop computer, and those are still used.
So I can totally understand why you’d install a 3rd-party Start button and such. I’d do so myself but honestly I have no use for Windows 8 in the first place.
I’ll stick with this preview version on VirtualBox for sandboxing risky shit like keygens, and compatibility testing my projects.
bleh. I’m sticking with desktop. It’s less frustrating
Well I get rid off all the Metro Apps and organized the programs I mostly use in groups. The only metro Apps I use are the Pony Apps (Portal and Soundboard)
But thats just me.
I’m using it right now… but only after I added a classic look and a Damn Start button!
I only use metro when I want to use Win 8 Skype. I barely use that
I like it too.
