Surely you’re not going to forgive him for gathering three dangerous criminals together and nearly starting a war just because “that wasn’t his intention,” are you?
No. But I will for him being legitimately sorry for what he did. And for going back to Twilight and the others to warn them, instead of just thinking of himself. And for doing what he could to help get others escape his mistake, even without any of his powers to help.

Because it’s true, good intentions don’t outweigh the consequences of doing something wrong. But I tend to feel that there is also more to judging someone than just the actions that lead up to something going wrong. What they do after they have seen the consequences of their actions matters too, and on that basis I personally am willing to forgive him.

Also the fact that Grogar “is” Discord in general. I don’t care if this twist was “planned”, IT DOESN’T EVEN MAKE ANY LOGICAL SENSE. Discord’s not a changeling. He is the Lord of Chaos. Only changelings have that kind of power. The power to morph into completely different characters. Discord can’t do that.
And even if he could, he learned so many friendship lessons earlier in the show that it doesn’t make sense to do such a thing.
It does if he thinks he’s doing it to help, which, as it happens, is exactly the explanation he provides. And when you consider that pretty much every time he appeared in an episode in a “helpful” capacity prior to the finale involved some form of trickery, annoyance, or mischief via his chaos powers, this is exactly in keeping with the kind of character he is.

“You think we were going to let a brand-new baddie be the one to take on our girls at the end?”

Well… yes. That is ’‘exactly’’ the thing the writers would do. That also sounds like a ’‘villain’’ statement, what Miller said.

“We wanted it to be these three to have the personal connection.”

SERIOUSLY?!? THAT IS THEIR EXCUSE?!? THAT IS EXACTLY THE REASON WHY THEY SHOULDN’T HAVE BEEN THE FINAL ANTAGONISTS. THEIR CONNECTION LIKELY COULD HAVE CAUSED THEM TO REFORM.

THE. HENCHMEN. ARE. THE. MAIN. ANTAGONISTS.

And what about in Frenemies?!? They had SO much character development and we got to see THEIR side of the story. And it focused entirely on them! They were the protagonists of that episode. And when they planned to “betray” Grogar, I knew for certain that they were obviously going to fail. And what about their nervous laugh at the end of the premiere? They were ‘obviously terrified of Grogar. Grogar was so evil that he made these villains feel like good guys! It made me feel so bad for them, the way Grogar was bullying them! And they’re the main antagonists.

And what about Doc Harris? He was given a raw deal. Grogar can’t be Discord if they have two separate actors. Also, his personality. Grogar is nasty, serious, cruel, black-spirited, and pure evil. Discord is fun, playful, silly, cute, and fun-loving. There’s no way these two are one in the same. And how did “Discord” even happen to know about Grogar’s past anyway?!? He explained it so thoroughly and clearly and he seemed to remember every bit of it. This is by far, the meanest, cruelest, most sinful, most evil, most sadistic, most HEARTLESS thing a work of fiction has EVER done. This “canon” finale is just like a nightmare that I cannot wake up from. Now I always clench my teeth whenever I see these words:

“Grogar is Discord. Grogar is Discord. Grogar is Discord. Grogar is Discord. Grogar is Discord.”

If these guys turned ponies to stone, THEN would you guys still love them?

You seem to ignore the fact, these villains turned ponies against each other, tried to kill others, destroyed Canterlot, stole magic, ect. yet, somehow they’re the “sympathetic ones?”

Ehhh, I’m not even going to bother arguing… (Clicks unsubscribe.)
