I agree.
I’d like to see the time come when it won’t be such an issue either way, then we could just be MLP fans…
I know.
Like I said, it’s become kind of a defiant statement of pride for some. They only made an issue of their gender because it’s why they were targeted in the first place.
And thats why it’s dumb..
Yeah, but the fact is where society is concerned male fans are generally going to have a more difficult experience being a part of this group. It’s not surprising a lot of them would ban together under a banner like that under the circumstances. Male or female though it’s up to the individual to choose what label they want, if any.
MALE FANS
Exactly.
That fine for you, but thanks to the fandom’s rocky history the term “brony” has become a matter of pride for a lot of male fans. I don’t think it’s going anywhere…
I just want to be called an MLP fan is all.
Well yeah, I was referring to both terms in my question. Though some female fans do seem to like it.
No, it’s already divided that way.
Just the word Brony is NOT as gender neutral as they say.
Is it that you don’t like the idea of dividing the fandom by gender?
It’s equally dumb. maybe not AS bad…
Why’s that?
How do you feel about the word pegasister?
I’m pretty sure she watched a little of the original show when she was a kid, she was just more a fan of the toys. Given how she based Rainbow Dash on Firefly’s personality she must have at least seen the first special.
indeed.
Derpy lives, lol!
Glad the fan labor was put on the spot, that’s probably the no. 1 amazing thing this fandom excels in.
clopping
Pegasisters: idk, I feel it made us look a teeeny weeeny bit like we are slightly mysoginic/woman-exclusive? I’ll admit that not every female past-gen MLP female artist/fan probably liked the brony attention the franchise was suddenly getting, and there were small clashes as in the case of any larrge fandom, but girl opinion leaders were a part from the very beginning who had an extremely big influence on where things went, and I think there’s been a question that if a male can do great fanwork and participate in socolaizing, so can a woman (and do it better).
I’ll just take it as a humorous jab at the brony/pegasister name difficulties, but I’d like it if the world saw us more inclusive and loving/tolerating (or just non-biased).
Animation was smooth, kudos to the creators.
Hey I didn’t start the fire. It was always burning since the world’s been turning.
…You’re absolutely right. I’m sorry.
I loved this bit of animation. De Lancie’s singsongy act is completely hypnotizing.
You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.
