I love her design, but if there’s any drama that’s clumsier and less immersive than the show’s, it’s the comic’s.
 
Eris is Discord Prime’s sister or cousin or some BS, and she runs a CASINO OF EVIL in another dimension. You know how Equestria Girls is another world? The comics have about a dozen other worlds and Eris is from one. She’s using her world’s version of Storm King Prime’s Staff of Whatever It Was Called.
 
Somehow, Eris stole Luna Prime’s powers and hid them in her casino. Only those who have once been villains are allowed in. Luna, who fits that criteria herself, has to recruit former antagonists to help her get in. If I recall, those were Stygian, Tempest Shadow, Trixie, and Capper. (All Prime.)
 
Trixie Prime ends up meeting an alternate Twilight from a world where Trixie is the Princess of Magic and Twilight is “The Great and Powerful Twily”. She becomes infuriated that Twilight (from any world) stole her shtick and immediately draws the attention of the entire casino to their duel.

Typically, issues are a month apart, but they get delayed at times. The shop downtown gives me dates, but if yours cannot, someplace online should work good as well. :3

Honestly I think Trixie would still call this a victory.

Just like with the end of Django Unchained, I’m not laughing because a mare got casually shot; I’m laughing because it flung her violently across the room in a completely over-the-top manner.
 
I can’t see it as anything but slapstick comedy, especially because it’s happening to the most comedic character of the group.

Okay. This is the one and only situation I’d ever root For Starlight to kick someone’s ass in a fight. No one smacks Trixie And gets away with it.
