Sucks that when Twilight mentioned about her friends in her speech, Spike wasn’t included there.  
Like he was just as important to Twilight as the other girls.  
In fact with how he was included in the final rainbow laser now and basically is now the 7th Element(or closest we could get for one), like wouldn’t he be truly included with the girls now?

Show starts with friendship, ends without it. So, when are we getting the good ending cutscene?

It could have been an issue that would slowly be resolved as early as Seasons 1 and 2. Ponyville has been facing the Manticores’ Paw of problems and issues regarding their road systems and farming along with organization as shown back in Winter Wrap-Up. Twilight serving as an envoy to Celestia would be privy to several methods that could rectify this by developing alliances and trade with the nearby settlement of Thicket to gain access to the Druidic Magic of the Deer, and the Stewardship of Dimondia to gain the advantage of the Diamond Dogs miners and stonemasons. It would have given us Deer and more Diamond Dogs in the show and slowly over the course of the series Ponyville would slowly grow and grow more in scope from a simple farming town to eventually becoming like its own kingdom: “Twilight’s Kingdom”.  
Sure a move like this would end up cheapening the impact of the School of Friendship in Season 8 by introducing Diamond Dogs and Deer as established allies and friends throughout Ponyville, but it would serve the plot of showcasing the very qualities of leadership that would justify Twilights’ position as a Princess of Equestria when she ascends to Alicornhood that she suffered throughout the Season 3 Hiatus and the first Equestria Girls movie. It would have also been interesting to have seen more liberal usage of the Elements of Harmony that would establish more traits in Twilight and her friends that by the time they are returned to the Tree of Harmony, they could simply channel that power on their own without being in physical contact with the Elements: giving more of an even playing field for them all (along with having a 7th Element for Spike)

Remember that there was literally a place even called the Castle of the Royal Sisters before Canterlot?
 
If moving your seat of power wasn’t an issue before then ut certainly wouldn’t be now.

Yeah I wondered about that to. Its not like the seat of power hasnt jumped around before. The castle of the two sisters is nowhere near Canterlot.
 
Besides, Twilight’s Castle, made by the Tree of Harmony and adjacent to the School of Friendship, is much more fitting a location for the Princess of Friendship.
 
The only downside I can see is what the increased hoof traffic from a government center would do to the relatively small makeup of Ponyville.

Or commission Star Swirl the Bearded to make something similar to the Equestria Girls mirror. If you can connect two entirely separate universes then connecting Ponyville and Canterlot should be trivial.
 
Or ask Luna to teach Twilight dream magic to share dreams with her friends.
 
Or ask Tempest about that two-way scrying crystal the Storm King used for long-distance communication.
 
Or ask Sunset how exactly those “phones” everybody is using in the human world work, get Sci-Twi to modify them a bit, maybe build a bootleg cell-tower between Canterlot and Ponyville just to stay in touch via video-calls.
 
Not to mention Twilight can freaking teleport directly to Ponyville, and Discord can just open portals to Canterlot.
 
Heck, Twilight could organize regular sleepovers at Canterlot Castle and teleport her friends back to Ponyville in the morning.
 
There are a MILLION ways Twilight could visit her friends more often. Or how her friends could visit her in Canterlot more often. Or do magical “video calls”. Or whatever. IT’S A WORLD OF MAGIC, USE IT!
 
Yes, I can buy that Twilight has a busy schedule as ruler of all Equestria.
 
And that the “one day a month” is the sacred day where she gets the whole day off to hang out with her friends, no interruptions.
 
But there simply is no reason whatsoever they couldn’t see each other in-between, even if it’s just for a half-hour lunch break or a quick chat and a hug!
 
You could even tweak it so it doesn’t contradict the final episode outright.
 
Twilight didn’t just flatout tell Luster about the Friendship Counsel right from the start; she was trying to create a teachable moment.
 
Imagine, for a second, Luster running into Twilight unexpectedly at Sugar Cube Corner a few weeks later:

“Wait…” Luster blinked. “Is that why you created the international gateway system?” Her jaw fell slack. “The system that allows instant travel between seven different nations, right here in Canterlot? That sparked the greatest cross-country migration of creatures in history?”
 
“Well, it wasn’t international, originally. Just between Ponyville and Canterlot Castle.”

You are spot on about the epilogue! That timeskip was such a huge mess by needlessly showing them drift apart (and aging them up beyond recognition. )

Isn’t it better knowing their friendship remained strong even as they moved on with their own lives?

So who lives in the castle in ponyville, also does prince blueblood still live in the canterlot castle?

Meh. I get why people are mad about the ending, but that was the whole point of that entire episode: The Mane 6 (and Spike) grew up, Twilight moved back home (yeah, Twilight isn’t from Ponyville, a lot of people forgot about that) but they still remained friends, the end.

I like to think that as well. If her workload is little to none of course.

I don’t think their friendship degraded at all.
 
They only do the big get-together once a month, but Twilight probably makes informal visits all the time.

I felt that Twilight wouldn’t give up on them. I also like how Celestia, Luna and even Discord seem to have regrets here about doing it. Just my two cents.

The first half I could go either way. The second half is the canon ending. I don’t care what anyone says.
