Yeah. But instead of a prologue to the film, this deleted scene could possibly be a flashback to either the Storm King or Tempest in the final draft of the film.
To me, this is most definitely canon. Just because it was deleted, it doesn’t always mean it isn’t. It’s only non-canon if the stories and characters are radically different.
Could this be canon? I mean as a flashback. I guess this deleted scene of the Storm King ruling and conquering the Arimaspi Kingdom beyond Equestria sometime or years after ruling and conquering Mount Aris before he set his sights on ruling and conquering Equestria reminds of when Unicron destroys Lithone before setting his sights on consuming the planet Cybertron and possibly Earth. Yep. In a deleted scene, prior to the events of the film, the Storm King have taken over an Arimaspi Kingdom by overthrowing the Arimaspi King and punishing, enslaving, and capturing all the one-eyed inhabitants of the kingdom.
Is this canon or is it from an early draft? And if it is canon, I believe it was a different Arimaspi that rules in a different kingdom beyond Equestria that is possibly populated by a group of one-eyed creatures until the Storm King rules and conquers the kingdom and overthrows him. This must be the same background where the Storm King, Tempest who is wearing a cloak, and the Storm Creatures are invading the Arimaspi Kingdom. And for Canterlot, you mean Equestria. Right? The Storm King have ruled and conquered many kingdoms beyond Equestria before he conquers Equestria and overthrows Celestia, Luna, Cadance, and Twilight. Similar to how Unicron have conquered and devour many planets beyond Cybertron and Earth before he conquers Cybertron in The Transformers: The Movie, or how Emperor Mavro and his Armada Army have ruled, conquered, and destroyed many planets beyond Earth including Andresia before ruling and conquering Earth in Power Rangers Super Megaforce, or how Thanos tries to get rid of halve of each planet in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Remember the Arimaspi, the giant mountain goat-cyclops from The Lost Treasure of Griffonstone? This is where his kind dwelled. Originally, the Storm King and his forces conquered the giant one-eyed satyrs before invading Canterlot.
