It’s not nearly the difference between shrugging something off with literally zero effect and getting sent flying. Tirek also had Star Swirl’s (and Mistmane’s and the rest’s) full magic power when Twilight floored him as well.
That’s more likely because Twilight aimed at Tirek’s face while Starswirl aimed at his chest… normally you take more damage when you get hit in the face than your chest…
I know! And like, wasn’t the Pillars ignoring and abandoning Stygian the whole reason he became the Pony of Shadows in the first place?
I’d want to say she could’ve outright stomped him entirely if she had either Celestia and Luna by her side, with magic. Definitely if both were there.
