You can only argue that if she was a hermaphrodite or something, and even then they pretty often lean toward one sex or the other in terms of physical traits. On top of that, this was not the kind of show to go “This kid has both boy and girl parts!”

Makes me wonder if the stress is catching up with the crew. Maybe the end of the show is a good thing if it allows everybody (fans and crew) to sort their minds and chill on the meantime, specially because some circles got full of drama after the finale.
Who knows, maybe is one of those things that honestly are better off if we let people have their personal headcanons instead of letting people get wild for something like this.
Yep. Colts weren’t very noticed in this series.
For me, I’ll have Li’l Cheese as a colt, considering that, outside of Shining Armor, Big Mac and Sugar Belle’s kid, Pound Cake, Dawn Droplet and any others I’m missing, there aren’t that many colts that are shown to have families.
Edit: Oh yeah, and Fluttershy’s brother too.

Since G4 is almost over, we probably won’t have confirmation on that. We have to trust the folks who worked in the series! It may not seem so, but they know what they do.
I’m of the opinion that anything outside of the official source in terms of canonization is questionable at best, and non-existent at worst. Like with calling Sunset bi; unless it was clearly spelled-out in the actual series or whatever, I’m gonna take it being canon with a grain of salt.
Especially if it’s coming from Twitter of all places, where people will change a character’s orientation or relationship status on a dime to appease a demographic.

I’m looking… And I think having a standard model for foals of different genders wasn’t a very good idea. But anyway, going back to the topic, people need to calm down about it.

Rumble has the muzzle and body shape of a filly. But again, I think the folks in charge of designing characters for Hurricane Fluttershy probably weren’t aware of his gender.
