And im glad i can rest knowing that they are romantic in canon and even Hasbro scripts intended to make it explicit. Animator director filtering into a more ambiguous way doesn’t make them platonic for majority of fans and hopefully IDW comics will go into that territory too and confirm it.

Well its up for interpretation. So nobody’s opinion here is canon. I just think we leave it for everyone to have fun with and decide is the basic point. Nobody is right or wrong.

Whatever anyone thinks, I’m just glad Discord and Fluttershy remain as friends, simply because they’ve been visiting each other all those years and not once mention anything romantic together and I can put it to rest knowing it’s canon.

That’s the thing, like I you and i legit ship different characters like I ship fluttercord and you ship lunsford, celestiacord but like you dont see me “berating you” for liking different things. Very well said, my friend. :) I have a few ships that are underrated to a lot of people, such as Tirek x Chrysalis. xDD Even if I don’t like a particular ship (my least favorite being Cozy x Tirek), I don’t go around and tear down other people’s opinions on the ship. If they like the ship, then they can like the ship! :D We all have different opinions, but people can still get along with each other. Even Rarity and Applejack got along with each other and they share different interests. Hehe! ^^ I hoped the Brony fandom will do the same thing, but I know it will not always be that way. But yeah, I agree with you 100%. I like Fluttercord, but I always shipped Discord with Princess Celestia or Princess Luna. xDD Just my opinion away. But I do support people who ship Fluttershy and Discord. ^^

Why dont they just let people enjoy what they wish. Anti shippers are much worse than shippers. Shipping is the aspect of simply enjoying something that is your own veiw. Something you like. Anti shipping is the aspect of actively trying to tear down others ships. Theres a difference. Regardless of straight up kissing or not kissing. Cause alot of ships did not kiss in the finale. Its still annoying to go under a thing you like to see anti shippers going under it to harrass people for liking it is just stupid thinking. Just change your tags if you dont like something instead of berating people who DO like it just because you don’t.

Belle and The Beast’s romance was explicit. She even kissed him after he became human again (on the lips). Fluttershy and Discord’s situation was more ambigious. And this is coming from someone that does ship Fluttercord.

Really ? I’d absolutely love to see discord in G5! Especially if hes seen with fluttershy in it . Dont know if it’d happen or not but i do wish it does .

I saw the concept art of that character and he looked nothing like Discord. He was a Longma and he seemed like he was a completely new character.
 
That being said, I wouldn’t mind Discord returning in G5. I don’t really have any objections to many past characters returning to G5 really.
