Sounds a bit too convoluted, even for a Chrysalis wins!Bad End scenario

Plot twist: Chrysalis captured Cadance again, changed into her, and since last time she learned how to change ponies into other ponies (an advanced form of changeling magic) and used said skill to disguise Cadance as Chrysalis. Chrysalis also found a way to make the disguised ponies take on the characteristics/abilities of the output pony, and vice versa, meaning that not only did Cadance get turned into Chrysalis, but she also got the changeling characteristic of feeding on love and Chrysalis can use Cadance’s love magic. So Tl;Dr, Chrysalis improved her changeling magic to change other ponies, and copy-transfer characteristics, (which brings us to the point of my rant) meaning Chrysalis is Cadance and Cadance is Chrysalis, and Chryssie is overfeeding Cadance with love magic.

Thankfully the war only lasted about 3 minutes because those Changelings realized they still need love and resources before they could do anything like that.
