Oh, I see. The poofy-maned one in panel 3 is Ellen (who I never heard of before), not Cloudchaser. Flitter’s the one in panel 2 not panel 3, and I didn’t recognize her because her bow is missing.

Ah yes…just as Steve Harvey finds that one player who becomes his “favorite player” of that game, you just know that Ellen is looking forward to see her favorite customer when she next does her shopping. Personally, I find the little back and forward teasing and ragging of each other they do to be quite funny. I just bet she’s gonna have a pickle jar with her at the checkout lane at all times just waiting to see Twilight again…

I honestly see no implications of this, Ellen is just an overly friendly, naive, store clerk, and she always came off to me as having no clue she’s even upsetting, or hindering her, or whatever. She never seemed like a very smart person, or devious.

Somebody gets it. I think fans get too overly protective of their favorite characters sometimes. (I mean, just look at people lose their minds anytime something comical happens to Spike in the show, and seem to ignore that stuff happens to other characters too.)
 
Perhaps it’d be more balanced if it happened to other characters more in this fan comic series, but as you said Twilight’s the main focus usually, and is the butt of the joke usually. (Sometimes she does get ahead though, like her revenge on Ellen, with pennies, and such.)

Maybe it’s because this event would personally send me over the edge, maybe it’s because this Twilight is nearly more anxiety ridden than the real one, but it seems like some torment to me.

Amen. It has been a very long time since Twilight was “tormented” as people call it. But a lot of it is done for comedy. It’s part of the comedy style and she is the main character. It makes sense we see more of everything with Twilight.

She looks forward to seeing Twilight again because she gets a kick out of tormenting Twilight and being the cause of and/or witnessing Twilight’s humiliation. She gets off on schadenfreude at Twilight’s expense. I would not dislike her so much if she was a jerk to everyone. However, her subtle sadism is directed only at Twilight. I do not know if she has a personal vendetta against Twilight, or if she is just chose to torment Twilight on a whim, but Twilight somehow bears the brunt of all of Ellen’s shenanigans.

I think you might be taking the comic too seriously, as good things have happened to her, and other characters have been the butt of jokes, as well. (Maybe not as much as Twilight.) Regardless, the author/artist genuinely seems to like her.
 
And Ellen is actually kinda being nice here, “I look forward to seeing them again.” The gag with her is usually she ‘s so naive, or oblivious she doesn’t realize things she says/does is making Twilight upset, or something. So I don’t think she’s that evil, or unlikeable.  
In fact, Ellen is actually one of my favorite OCs from this fan series.

Starlight’s legs are really bothering me for some reason, but I don’t know enough about horses to know if it’s worthy of the “incorrect leg anatomy” tag. And I’m assuming that “checker” = “cashier”?

Well it’s Ponyville, so they gotta fill the airtime with something before the Tuesday villain attack.

When I saw the headline in panel one, GROCERY STORE HAVOC, I hoped that Twilight had finally killed or at least beat up Ellen. But, no, there she is in the third panel, that smug bitch. Just fall into a wood chipper and die already, you cunt.
 
The Born Loser. That is what this comic reminds me of every time it takes a big steaming crap on Twilight.
 
And why is someone slipping on a wet floor and injuring themselves deserving of being headline news? Is the news day so devoid actual news that some anonymous pony humiliating themselves the best thing they can report on?

All I can picture is a cat trying to run on tile flooring….and I can’t stop laughing, send help.
