Well fine, I’d say Iron Will is neutral not good or bad, just not perfect enough for most ponies, maybe he’d better off learning more about ponies’ need.

He didn’t make Fluttershy a bitch, that was all on her for taking things too far. No one else at his seminar went around being assholes. Fluttershy has always been so incredibly passive that she couldn’t differentiate being aggressive and being out right cruel. Iron Will was, well trying to, give what he thought was genuinely good advice, and for normal ponies it was. That was why he caved so easily when Fluttershy was able to stand up for herself correctly, even considering adding what she said to him in his seminar. Than 5 seasons later the show is littered with writers who don’t know the difference between an antagonist and a villain, forever ending any hope for the return of the character proper.
 
If you were to go back and read early fanfics than you would see that no one considered Iron Will a villain.

I don’t have problems with Ahuizotl reforming or the main villains being punished. I have problems with the purely awful and lazy way they did it.

To be fair, I’m not part of the hypocrisy regarding Ahuizotl. My only problem was that I wanted him to better explain his past crimes and why he did so to justify his role as a guardian. We would have gotten this if the episode’s writer had watched the previous Daring Do episodes.

I’ve nothing against redemptions. But the redemptions need to make sense depending on the villain.

These are two distinct groups of bronies, not the same people being inconsistent.
 
In a fandom as big as this one, it’s not ridiculous to think that the people disappointed by the big three’s lack of redemption aren’t the same people complaining about the show doing too many redemptions. Ergo, no hypocrisy.
