The only villain who’s fate I’d really question would be that of Cozy Glow. After all, how many years had she actually lived before she was relegated to stone? Was she really accountable for her errors at that point?

Related to that, it might sound weird to some people, but the early leak days were actually kinda stressful, in my opinion, especially the first day.
 
I can’t imagine how exhausting it would’ve been to be an actual moderator at that time.
 
But yeah, with the tagging, and coincidence or not, “better safe than sorry” was the best philosophy, IMO.

And even if you put aside the intentions, it still needs the spoiler leak tag in order to anticipate so people wouldn’t find out such “coincidences”.

Look, the mods disagree that it’s a mere coincidence, and there’s been cases of trolling by vandalizing tags, regarding the leaked stuff. There were definitely at least a hundred people who knew about it, and why hadn’t that “headcanon” shown up before then?
 
The timing of literally days later just doesn’t look good.
 
How do you know that the BP didn’t post in a comment on this very site before, talking about that plot twist?
 
Moderators can see IP addresses, and if there was a case of them posting about it elsewhere, in that timeframe, that would 100% confirm it.
 
There could be hard evidence that exists, and it’s hardly implausible, the thought of someone trolling like that.

Nobody wants bad redemptions.  
People want well develpoed redemptions.  
Bad people turning good is one of the best motives we can find in books, movies and comics today.  
Nobody wants a half-assed reformation a la Glimmer, even if she deserved it. People were afraid they’ll get another one witih Chrysalis (almost happened). We’ve got a shitty reformation of Garble and nobody asked for it. We’ve got a shitty reformation of Ahuizotl, and he is the last villain that needed redemption.  
Cozy, Tirek and Chrysalis were characters with the most development in the whole S9. You could see actual effort in writing them. Frenemies was subtle enough to make kids think “woah, why do they work together?”, where the parents saw the moments of developing friendship between the trio. Chrysalis giving a hoof to Cozy or Tirek returning Chrysalis’ energy were impossible when we met the villains for the first time.
 
The reason why they failed when they attacked for the first time was not understanding the meaning of friendship. They worked together and developed one. The elements blasted them with rainbow lazors and stripped from the undeserved powers, they didn’t turn them into a stone statue. It was fucking Celestia, Luna and Discord, disposing tools that are not needed anymore.  
That’s why people are pissed. An unnecessary, shitty twist with no real logic behind it. It was created because Big Jim has mental problem and he wanted to take revenge on stupid bronies. And you know what? There are people who still suck his micropenis and praise the finale.

I was there to see it too. It just so happened to be uploaded soon after the leaks happened, so the most logical conclusion is that they were being a prick by uploading it without the proper tags (and you can check the tag history on the image for proof that Sanagi 蛹 added the proper tags, not OP).
