Not a complaint at all. I love Starlight. She my fave pony. Heck, part of her charm for me is that “I do what I want / I think is best” attitude. Girl traded Trixie’s travel-wagon without so much as asking for her permission. Seeing Starlight come up with random plans is entertaining because it usually leads to funny and embarrassing situations for her.
 
Which is why I’m sincerely proud that Starlight “Meme Queen I didn’t think this through” Glimmer has now become one of the more responsible characters in the series. That’s major development, and one that I think feels natural, given the amount of time it takes to get there.

Between starting a cult, time travel, abusing magic, frequent freakouts and coming up with dodgy plans on the fly, I’d say Starlight was like one of the least responsible pony out there. WAS.  
That’s why her being a guidance counselor was producing so many good memes because she was like THE worst choice to guide impressionable youth, considering her past deeds.
 
Now she runs a school started by THE princess of Friendship, and probably inherited the castle too, considering Twilight probably would stay on Canterlot.
 
Good on you, Starlight! I’m proud of you!
