I was thinking of the type that lay their eggs and leave. My bad for forgetting the ones with queens and what not, though I don’t think this applies here since the female ones in their race after their transformation implies that she isn’t the bug version of a queen and more of a human/pony version of one, with Chrysalis being their alicorn rather than mother.
Eusocial insects don’t ditch their children, and neither does Chrysalis. What are you saying?
Seeing as how they acted like other sapient beings in the show, and don’t ditch their babies into the wild as eggs for the strongest to survive (or it would be viewed as messed up when they realized what they’re actually doing), that sounds like a pretty poor way to excuse her actions.
That’s assuming that changelings are like humans though. They are part insect, and insects are a bit more… vicious in how they treat their kin. Or rather, less caring.
I like the chagelings, and think that Chrysalis is a good villain, just that she’s not a good ruler/mother.
I could say the same thing in that your avatar isn’t a changeling. But, I don’t think this is going to go very well if we attack each other’s character…
Or you’re giving her too much credit due to the same reason your avatar is her.
I dunno about that. He’s probably sharing his bounty with his queen, since he ventures out to collect and then distribute, like with trophalaxis.

Which of these ‘lings is supposed to be Thorax? I think it’s either the drone or the grub with the disgusted expression.
