That’s part of growing up. People lose friends due to circumstances, that happens. But along the way, you make new friends. Sure, losing them all is painful but would you really give up the chance to be friends with new people if it meant you never have to face that pain?
Which is more important? The experiences of having friends, or the inevitability of losing them?
People die or disappear, even friends. But your friendships with them will last forever so long as you remember them, and that’s what makes them so valuable.
If Twilight truly is the Princess of Friendship, she’d know this more than anyone else.

That may be but I dont think she will go 1000+ years when her friends are all gonna die.I dont think her heart will handle it and shewill probably die to if she chooses to do so

I’m pretty sure Celestia and Luna only raise and sets the sun and moon and not like, control it 24/7. I mean, if Celestia can do it for a 1000 years, why can’t Twilight do it?

This is just another good reason why maybe they should’ve devoted a whole episode to the epilogue instead of shoving some show-don’t-tell half-assery into the last few minutes.
Celestia and Luna locked a bit of there power into a amulet. They also retained the bulk of there power so there is a good chance the two are still raising sun and moon but not ruling.

Oh no, apparently not, cause Celestia and Luna gave their sun/moon-raising abilities to Twilight.
Actually, that brings up a good question: If Twilight now has the duties of both Celestia and Luna, and possibly Cadence, on top of her own, when the hell does she sleep? Cause like, even Celestia needed to sleep.

Man its a fictional tv series what did you expect.They just exist as rulers of their kingdoms and do their duties and basically each princess has more knowledge about what knid of princess she is and whats her job.Example Twilight has more knowledge about friendship than the other hence her duty as the princess of friendship

Where was it ever suggested they WEREN’T born alicorns? Pretty sure Lauren Faust established the precise opposite nearly a decade ago. Since, y’know, she intended them to be the ONLY alicorns. And also literal goddess-type figures.

Maybe they dont remember it cause they were either small babies when they left and came to equestria and rule after or the creators just didnt put it in the show I dont know but I found it somewhere that they are from and ancient alicorn civilization but who knows
That’s just it… where has the show addressed that? It’s easily ignored, considering their complete confusion that an alicorn could be born instead of being ascended.
Celestia’s 1,111th year anniversary of raising the sun happened in S8.
Also, why do we think they’re gonna die based on just the show?
The only thing saying they’re not actually biologically immortal as alicorns is a book that’s been retconned multiple times, and there’s no evidence Celestia has aged over a millennium. We don’t even know they were born alicorns based on the show, and they’ve made comments that imply otherwise in S6.

Celestia and Luna wont live for much longer anyways.They are already at the age of 1050+ so Cadence and Twilight will reach that age and die out eventually leaving Flurry Heart behind being the only princess left

Twi, being a princess, had a very strange role until the last season.. And now five more princesses. What will they do with their power?
