@AdmiralQ
Well, since Cadence is clearly aging, and has vastly different qualities than Luna, Tia, or even Queen Sparklebutt have. We all have our theories on why, but the differences are certainly there.
@Vinylshadow
I f***ing know! And it was good lore, honestly!
At least G5 is supposed to not only expand on the lore of Alicorns, but focus their nature too. Really going with that “godlike” nature we saw in early seasons of Celestia and Luna.
@Background Pony #EA4A
So we have speculation, and speculation. These are basically equal until the series does something to validate one or the other. @AdmiralQ
Cadence is presumably not immortal.
There is alot that we simply do not know about Alicorns.
@AdmiralQ
never in the show was stated that alicorns are immortal thy might just live longer thx to magic
and since luna and celestia give up they magic to twilight they might be old grannys now or they turn ashes that’s why we do not see them in the last problem at least i thing we don’t maybe i mist it:|
Now… We have Luna and Celestia as examples of the long life of an Alicorn.
Twilight will likely live as long as them. That seems to indicate longer than her friends but, now she can grow with Spike who like Torch will live for generations.
@Background Pony #652A
Yeah, but she is not an elf, nor is she immortal yet. You are discussing the laws of a condition that as of now, is your speculation.
@Background Pony #652A
Yeah, that confirms she isnt immortal. We dont know what she is yet, but as of now, she is not immortal. Popular fan theory is that she simply grew due to the magic from the crown she was given. Honestly, season 10 is coming, I’m hoping we get a answer then. I highly doubt the answer will be that “All of Twi’s friends die before she does.” That is just us kinda freaking out.
If we want to be realistic, she’s an alicorn, and we do not have alot of canon info that stays canon.
We might never get a canon answer. Until we do, assuming she will is just an assumption from taking this a little too far.
No, he didn’t. “We don’t know how long everyone lives, Twilight included.” could mean anything.
It could mean that she could get killed at some point. The kind of immortality here usually used is the “can’t die from old age” kind as opposed to the “can’t be killed with anything ever” kind.
Twilight Sparkle will never outlive her friends because she will always be making new ones.
Or…
Twilight is friends with like, four immortals, plus a dragon who is likely to live an extremely long period of time, given dragon lifespans in the show.
Also, Megan only said that to comfort people who were being weird.
McCarthy left Hasbro and DHX after the movie even tho she was going to work on G5, she didn’t lie, the new directors and writers just did what they pleased, blame them.
