People that usually do this had become invested in the show. They feel like they lost something. Other even feel a bit of righteous anger that people like something they feel became so bad. It’s immature and pointless, that is people.

That said, if your mood gets spoiled over other people having opinions, that is something that you need to work on. The whole thing should be a non-issue for all involved.

I just don’t get some people. Why they after droping a show WHILE AGO going into the cooments to whine about how they dropped a show? Like why do they watch clips of something they don’t watch anymore, why do they waste time commenting like… ugh… why can’t people just find something better to do in their life, instead of spoil the mood of others?

well if it’s criticism to some of my favorite characters, i don’t went to be apart of it, no exceptions!

I consider it healthy criticism to bad writing. If people don’t have healthy skepticism, then our standards drop dramatically, and we get shows like Teen Titans Go for example as a result, or the Season 6 finale where everyone gets captured off screen.
 
Simply put, bad writing will always be criticized, and that’s how it always should be. If a character only has a minimal amount of bad reputation of quality like most characters, then the writers have done their job well on that character. If that is NOT the case, then the opposite is true. Where there’s smoke, there’s fire. Where there’s a higher degree of criticism, there’s usually a higher degree of issues.

She most definitely the worst part of the later half of MLP for many including myself, and for good reason, even though some fans like her. She was written less like a wild card and more like an inconsistent mess. It was like the worst entitlement aspects of Twilight’s S3 and onward storyline manifested tenfold and wanted to double dip in the same show. (while only changing her name slightly)
 
-Characters would constantly hold the stupid stick just for Starlight to shine, like the friend of Scorpan, Star Swirled, turned out to be an super strict jerk just so she could be Starlight’s counter point, or when the whole cast was turned useless offscreen just so Starlight could rescue them from Chrysalis.  
We got some of our worst episodes because of Starlight.  
-She’s written like an OC, a purple unicorn given the same name as Twilight but with synonyms becomes her apprentice and happens to be stronger then her even though no one’s ever heard of her before.  
-She is instantly trusted to high heaven by the mane cast the second she decided to be a good guy despite making an obviously morally bad choice more then half the time she makes a decision, and she only has slight regrets when she does so because she’s almost never punished.  
-She was just a random hedge wizard who just happened to be the strongest unicorn ever, even compared to the Element of Magic(which is pretty nonsensical)  
-And also it was just weird that her villain self came across as way more intelligent and genre savvy then her later self.
 
I’m not saying nothing good came from Starlight, she’s was actually a pretty good straight man to Trixie’s hijinks, but honestly other characters could of filled her place.
 
I honestly would of preferred if more episodes were taken from Starlight to explore characters like Luna and Celestia before their retirement, get more backstory and juicy details, make a more concrete storyline, and of course, less stupid finales to seasons.

yep she’s the reason why i’m into into mlp (mainly g4), and if she wasn’t reformed, i would likely not continue watching mlp and would not be part of this fandom.

Something I noticed, every couple stand beside each other in these “transition” pictures, within the picture we see Starlight and Trixie directly beside each other and the last time we see Starlight and Trixie in animation they’re beside each other. Coincidence? I THINK NOT! lol  
Anyway, it’s good enough for me.
