I don’t think they are dirty or anything, they seem to be the same color as her dress actually.
The dirty gray socks are a great little detail.
Adult Rarity would never allow herself to be seen like that…but this is a little kid version. She’s made herself a gown out of a tablecloth and run around the house all day in her socks. MegaSweet has provided a picture of childish, messy innocence while preserving clues of who she will eventually become.
why not the socks?
