I think this (in a way) references a lot of human in Equestria fanfics, where the human chracter winds up being transported to Equestria due to some unforseen accident or catastrophic event. Kinda like the game Graveyard Keeper (which is like a cross between Stardew Valley and Monty Python’s Search For The Holly Grail.)
