Artist’s description:
“Now this one was really special! As soon as I saw the great seedling, I knew I wanted to do a bigger artwork featuring it. I was also aware that my normal black and white style would not really fit there. Sooo….
This was the first time I used water soluble ink (in the form of felt tip pens) in one of my bigger artworks.
Paper was the main issue here. I needed something that would not cause my Pigment ink to bleed horribly (a very smooth paper) but also something that would let the water soluble ink soak in without having the paper bending and getting wavy. I ended up with a pretty good compromise but the paper could not handle too much water at once. It was a little tricky but worth it in the end.
The original of this picture will be auctioned off for a good cause at GalaCon 2019 (I think AnimalEquality gets the money).”

The episode gave me the distinct impression they were real. Just elusive and mysterious.
In the world of magic and talking animals? It probably is.
*Sawsbuck. The “saws” represents the 4 seasons, Spring, Autumn, Winter, Summer.
