A lot of little reasons, really. A big one was that person on Twitter who was outright impersonating me for a bit, which made me want to have a lot more control over my own artwork. Rather than maintaining accounts and following comments and messages here and on all the other Boorus that have popped up as of late, or slapping signature and source banners on my pics (which is like the last thing I’d ever want to do; I like my pictures just being pure picture) I’ve gone with a more “keep it here as much as possible” kind of approach. It’d be super depressing for me if all the feedback was on these mirror sites I don’t visit and I’m just sitting here with a fraction of the votes I’d normally get and no replies. I’m being a lot more strict now too since some of these sites seem to just not have DNP listings, which really makes it hard to just maintain a gallery of my own (and, admittedly, kind of rubs me the wrong way) :P
 
I might loosen up in the future, once things cool down and if/when these other sites get their DNP listings hashed out. I’m certainly not rushing them or anything since like they’re brand-new out of the gate and they probably have like a million things on their plate that take priority over DNP systems though :D
